OVERVIEW
What is a short code service?
It is a service in which a client(you) request that is required to be accessed by peole via thsier gsm operator. It is such that requires person to send a specified messages(sms) to a specified Shortcode Number. After this is done the desired amount is deducted from the persons prevailing balance and the expected service is rendered.
A Short code Number service avails 5/6 digits Global Access (Nigeria Only) Number that avails ease of remembering and Multi-Operator support. All Short Codes are available in respective Country amongst majority of the Cellular Operators.
Messages sent to Short Code Numbers are charged at Premium Rate (Rate Higher than regular SMS sending Rate as set by Operator).
Example:
A user send “sex and age” to 33122, the user is billed N100. When the user is billed, the neworks will payout a certain percentage at a certain period to the client. Percentages and payout scedule is below.

SMS Alert, E-mail Alert:
An SMS Alert can be configurd with predefined message(s) and/ or E-mail alert to receive Sender Number whenever someone is sending messages to your Service.
Shortcode Report: You could view all SMS Messages, sender information along with date, time coming to your Service through our Web-based Login system via the internet.
Types of Shortcode Sms:
Shared Short Code (Shared Profit-Making):
This is when two or more customers uses a particular SHORT-CODE number for “any” services with each of them been differentiated by KEYWORDS.
What is a KEYWORD?
A keyword is a phrase or group or letter/numbers that will be used to diferentiate various shortcode services using the same short code number which makes part(beginning) of the sms to be sent to the shortcode.
For Example,
Client A configures a keyword called “NL ” to 33122 such that before a user can use it, they MUST first type NL then follow by any other information.
Client B configures a keyword called “REALTIME” to that same 33122 followed by any other information, and users must first also text REALTIME and other information to 33122.
That short code number 33122 is now referred to as a Shared Number.
The Client makes profit only from sms sent to the keyword configured from using this shared number and the end user (people sending the SMS to 33122) pay for the amount of delivery the SMS.
Dedicated Short Code
A dedicated shortcode is created for the clients which do not intend to shared the short code number with another client.
This type does not require a keyword before the account can be identified. Example, a user can just send name and position to 33122 and the shortcode will be identified as a clients a short code.
Billing Type: The billing type is MOBILE ORIGINATING.
